UPDATE (3:50 p.m.): Game two of the best-of-three District V final series between New Hartford and Smith has been postponed until tomorrow (Sunday) at 1 p.m. at DeLutis Field.
UPDATE (1:50 p.m.): I tracked down Oneida County league commissioner Jack Huther to find out why the game has been delayed. Huther said the heavy rain that passed through the Rome area this morning soaked DeLutis Field and left the grounds crew with no choice but to push the start time back.
1 p.m.: Game two of the best-of-three District V final series between New Hartford and Smith has been delayed until 6 p.m. tonight.
I'm not quite sure why the game has been postponed, but I'm working on trying to find out right now. It's sunny and clear here in Utica, but I don't know what it looks like or did earlier today in Rome. Can any Rome fans out there fill us in?
